His phone blinked in his pocket. He brought out the phone, it is a message from his brother. He quickly unlock the phone and opened the message.

Iam on my way now. Be careful brother. The message says. He pressed the lock key and put the phone back in his pocket. His heart was beating faster now. He heard sound of people in the ceiling. His heart was beating faster than ever and he could hear his heart beat.

He saw someone drop from the ceiling some seconds later, the other one dropped also. They brought out guns from their waist.

His movement were fast. He hit the first guy very hard on his neck and the second guy on his face. They both made a loud shout before collapsing. The first guy didn't move. Enenche hit the second guy harder until he stop moving. He picked the guns and ran out of the kitchen towards the back door before the other two come. He ran into his brother outside the door. They fell down which made the guns go in a different direction.

"I thought you made that loud cry. Where did you get the guns from?" Adole asked in a  hushed voice sitting down.

"It wasn't me. I was the one that hit them. The guns belongs to them." Enenche answered.

"Get the guns Enen!" He commanded. Enenche picked the gun and gave one to his brother.

"Have you ever use a gun before?" Enwnche asked concerned.

"No,this is my first time but don't worry everything is going to be fine." He said.

"I pray so cause iam scared." Enenche said sweating.

"Stop talking and concentrate Enen. They may hear us." They heard foot steps running toward the door. They both pointed the guns towards the door waiting for them to show up.

Two hefty guys ran out holding guns. Enenche fired a shot but missed it. Adole shot and luckily,it hit one of them in the chest. The other guy fired at Adole. The bullet hit him in his shoulder which made him to made a loud cry before falling. Enenche fired again and it hit the other guy in the leg. The guy groaned and ran inside the house. Enenche chased and  fired two more shot at the guy but missed them. He ran back to where his brother was when he heard the sound of the gate open and close.

His brother was on the floor groaning in pain. He moved towards the other guys who was lying on the floor also. He is alive but unconscious. He brought out his phone and dailed the doctor that is on duty's number and asked him to send an ambulance to his house. He dialed the C division police station's number which is two streets away from his and told them what the incidence.

The police arrived almost the same time with the ambulance. The police filed in report as the three men including Adole were moved into the ambulance. The house was sealed off.

Fortunately, non of the guys died. They just suffered injuries. Surgery was carried out on Adole and the other guy. The men were put in one ward,all of them handcuffed. Two days later, all the three men were found dead. There mouth were covered and their wrist cut.

Enenche was with his brother throughout his stay in the hospital. He was discharged three weeks later. Enenche moved in with his brother.
They were sitting under the umbrella tree chatting when Adole brought the topic of what happened.

"Did you know who sent those assassins to your house the other time?" Adole asked.

"Yap. It is Jeremy. I heard on of the guys call his name. Iam sorry I didn't tell you early." He apologised.

"This is the first time we are talking about it so don't apologize. You know what? It is time to hit back at that guy. He is going to regreat ever knowing you in his life. He will pay for it. We will take him down forever."

"I don't know how to thank you brother. You are always there for me. My problems are always yours. Thank you for everything." Enenche said.

"Look at you mumu. What is the essence of having a big brother if nor to look after you. See I will fight for you with the last drop of my blood. Ada,Onyeche and Omabo will do that also. So don't get emotional and let's start planning on how to hit back on Jeremy." They skilled and shook hands. They  were outside until late in the evening before they went inside the house.
