Labour strike hit nasarawa state.
Official activities were yesterday paralysed in Nasarawa State when offices, hospitals were shutdown following the commencement of an indefinite strike by the organised labour unions in the state.

According to the statement, labour is demanding payment of arrears of leave grants, implementation of promotion, payment of arrears of gratuity and pension among others.
It was gathered that government offices, departments and agencies (MDAs) were shutdown.
Some of the offices shut down included, the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hospital Management Board, Ministry of Sports and Youth Development and office of the Head of Service.
Others are Ministry of Education, Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, while primary and secondary schools were also affected.
Some civil servants who spoke with newsmen accused government of being insensitive to the welfare of workers.
The unions appealed to the state government to give workers their right by ensuring that they (workers) enjoyed the dignity of their labour.
