The other half.

A woman is a change-agent. She can feed her family. Build her business. Raise her kids. Employ her neighbors. She can inspire sustainable transformation and create a new story for herself, her children and her entire community. A woman is powerful and full of often-untapped potential. A woman can change the world.

Women have been marginalized, oppressed, discriminated and subjugated for thousands and millions of years. Right from birth, women are seen as second class citizens. They are treated less than their male counterparts. The problem of male preference is still practice in Africa and and Asia.

Women seen as commodity that can be purchased at anytime. Most parents don't send their daughters to school because they see that as waste of time and resourses since she will going to get married and be under a man.

When a woman eventually break that barrier and make it to the top,she will be accused of sleeping her way to the top. Even in marriage, women are treated less during decision making in the family. The man makes the decision and his decisions are always final. In some part of the world, women don't inherite from their fathers. What ever the father left is taken away by their brothers.

A woman is seen as a tool for sexual satisfaction. She satisfy her husband without him reciprocating the favour. The woman have to satisfy him at anytime, any where and at any condition. The show is over immediately he cums.

Women are also discriminated when it comes to finding jobs and at work places. There are works that are considered to be men work. In most cases, men are usually promoted even when the women are more qualify than them. When it comes to the rate and number of employment, the number of men being employed is ten times the number of women. When asked, they say a woman's place is in the kitchen and the bedroom.

Most African parents take time to train their daughter to become good wives to their husbands forgetting their duties of training their sons on how to become good husbands to their wives.

It is high time we stop the gender discrimination and embrace gender equity (gender equality is something that cannot  be achieved). Let's send our female children to school for when you train a woman, you are training a natio. A better society starts from a better home and a better home is begotten by a well trained, well treated and educated woman. Let's give women the chance to be happy. They are our mothers, sisters, friends, daughters, companions, wives and everything.
Say no to women discrimination. Let's empower women.
There is always a successful woman behind every great man.
